Neoprene, also known as chloroprene rubber and Xinping rubber. Synthetic rubber produced by α-polymerization of chloroprene (2- chloro -1,3- butadiene) is widely used in weathering products, viscose soles, coatings and rocket fuels.

Oil resistance is second only to nitrile rubber. Good corrosion resistance to inorganic acid and alkali. Poor cold resistance and poor electrical insulation. The storage stability of raw rubber is poor, which leads to the phenomenon of “self-sulfur”. The Mooney viscosity increases and the raw rubber hardens.
